Dr. Craig A. Miller

Craig A. Miller, MD, FSVS, FACS, is a practicing surgeon and author, board-certified in both general and vascular surgery. He holds degrees in physics from Northwestern University and medicine from the Ohio State University. Dr. Miller was trained in general surgery at the Ohio State University and vascular surgery at the University of California, San Francisco.

 Dr. Miller has written four published books and many articles. He has been a keynote speaker at the Académie Nationale de Chirurgie in Paris, the British Society for the History of Medicine, the American College of Surgeons, Harvard University, and many other universities and organizations. His work has been translated into multiple languages and reviewed by numerous publications and websites, including The New England Journal of Medicine, the Journal of the American Medical Association, Annals of Surgery, the Journal of Vascular Surgery, and Hektoen International. He has held chairs of history committees at the American College of Surgeons and the Society for Vascular Surgery. A finalist for the Welch Medal, Dr. Miller has served as Scholar-in-Residence at the Medical Heritage Center and Michael E. DeBakey Fellow in the History of Medicine at the National Institutes of Health.
